World navy commanders voice willingness to work with Iran

TEHRAN – Navy commanders of different countries who have attended the Venice symposium told their Iranian counterpart that they are willing to gain experience from Iran in dealing with pirates in international waters. 

Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari held separate talks on Tuesday evening with navy commanders of Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal, South Africa, Croatia, Algeria, Argentina and Russia.

Sayyari arrived in Italy on Tuesday to address the Venice Regional Seapower Symposium for the Navies of the Mediterranean and Black Sea Countries.
